All volunteer opportunities are currently cancelled due to COVID-19 and until we are back at Petsmart doing off-site weekend adoptions again.
Jennifer’s Pet Rescue is a no-kill, not-for-profit, animal rescue organization. We are recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization. We are a valid community service volunteer organization.
All volunteers must be 14 years of age or older or accompanied by a legal guardian. The only training requirement is a love of animals and a desire to help them find their forever homes.
Please dress appropriately for volunteer sessions. Close toed shoes are required; tennis shoes are strongly suggested. Dresses and excessive jewelry are strongly discouraged. Spaghetti strap tank tops, strapless tops, and shorts or pants with holes in them are not permitted. Feel free to bring a water bottle.
To sign up for a volunteer session email your requested dates of service to JPR@jenniferspetrescue.com. Please include your name, age, phone number, and reason for volunteering. If you are volunteering to fulfill a court-ordered community service requirement please provide the name and telephone number of your Probation Officer. Typically, we only schedule volunteers can commit to the entire day; however, if you must leave early please indicate so in your email.
We are happy to accommodate individual or group volunteer requests. We are limited to three volunteers at a time for inside adoption events during the winter and four volunteers at a time for outside adoption events during the summer; however, groups can split days as long as proper coverage is assured.
Please print and complete the Electronic Volunteer Waiver and bring it with you to your first volunteer session.
If you are less than 18 years of age your parent or legal guardian must also sign the form.
If your volunteer hours must be tracked for any reason please print and complete the Electronic Community Service Tracker and bring it with you to each volunteer session.
