Jennifer’s Pet Rescue is a no-kill, not-for-profit, animal rescue organization. We are located in Dallas, GA. We are licensed through both Paulding county and the state of Georgia. We are also recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization.
Petsmart adoptions are on an indefinite hold at this time due to COVID-19 and all adoptions are now done by appointment only in a church parking lot in Dallas, GA where we can practice social distancing.
We do not have a public rescue facility. All adoptions are done by appointment only. Surrenders are handled by appointment during the week.
Our mission is to rescue and re-home adoptable dogs and cats who would otherwise be euthanized. Most of our animals come from local animal shelters. Others are surrendered by loving owners who can no longer care for their pets. Because we are a rescue and not a shelter, by law, we are not permitted to accept stray animals. Stray animals must first go to a shelter so their owners have a chance to find them. For the safety of our guests, volunteers, and employees we cannot accept feral cats, dog-aggressive dogs, or Pit Bull dogs. Proof of ownership is required.
All cats and kittens are tested for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), and tested for and vaccinated against Rabies. All dogs are tested for heartworms, and vaccinated for Distemper, Bordetella and Rabies. All puppies are dewormed and vaccinated as appropriate for their age. Animals with illnesses or injuries are medically treated as applicable.
All animals receive monthly flea/tick preventative. Dogs also receive monthly heartworm preventative. All animals currently available for adoption are listed on the Dogs & Puppies and Cats & Kittens for Adoption pages. We update our available pet listings after each pet is adopted and really stay on top of it. If you do not see an animal listed it has found its forever home and we encourage you to keep searching.
